MARTIN MARIC-USC TRACK & FIELD
3X OLYMPIAN AND SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERT
Coach Maric is a tenured track and field coach and a recognized expert in social media strategy. A two-time recipient of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year award, he brings both athletic and digital expertise to his role. As the Croatian national record holder in the discus throw (222 feet, 10 inches / 67.92 meters), Maric represented Croatia at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics.For over a decade, Coach Maric has leveraged social media as a powerful tool for recruiting top international talent. A pioneer in the athletics digital space, he has grown his program’s social media presence to nearly 60,000 followers, with millions of views across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. He credits much of his coaching success to his ability to engage athletes where they are—online—through creative content and strategic digital outreach.
